Hello,

 

I’m Miriam, a sustainable fashion designer, maker and enthusiastic educator. I originally trained as a pattern cutter and garment technologist. Later I obtained my First Class honours degree in Fashion and I am a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy.

 

I particularly enjoy helping those who are starting out on their sewing or pattern-making journey here in Norfolk.

Pattern making and sewing techniques go hand-in-hand when creating an item of clothing. Knowledge of both is essential to be able to express your ideas, create your designs and achieve the best possible results. I can take you on a journey of creating and making your own garment from concept to finished product, however big or small.

I design and deliver BESPOKE 1:1 sewing and pattern cutting tutorials for clients with wide range of abilities and skills. All levels are welcome.

I now also offer a series of 1:1 (or 1:2) READY DESIGNED tutorials covering pattern making and sewing techniques for beginners which you can book here. During these fundamental workshops I will introduce you to the world of creating and making clothes. You will gain a knowledge of pattern-cutting and sewing techniques that will help you to create beautiful garments that fit well.
